2 arrested during drugs operation

Malvern Safer Neighbourhood officers today carried out an operation involving plain clothed and uniformed officers focusing on areas of regular drug use. We also had the assistance of Hereford Operational Policing Unit.

This morning one man was arrested for failing a roadside drug test and taken to custody.

This afternoon another man was stopped in a vehicle and was found to have a number of wraps believed to be class ‘A’ drugs.  He was arrested for possession with intent to supply class ‘A’ drugs and after failing a roadside drug test, he was further arrested for drug driving.

Officers aim to carry out similar operations on a regular basis, to assist in tackling drug dealing in the Malvern Hills area. The information that we receive from members of the public is invaluable when it comes to organising these operations. If you have any information that you would like to share with us, you can report it via West Mercia Police’s online portal. Alternatively, you can report anonymously via crime stoppers.
